Panoramas

For the past few years, I have been working on a series of panoramic paintings employing several canvases for each work to create a 360° view of my subject. This first series is entitled "A Day in My Life". Each work is very personal, representing a typical day in my life.  Done from life, these paintings show different situations in different spaces in and around my home, from different vantage points. Although I am not physically represented in the works, I see them as self-portraits. I prefer to use the objects and settings in the paintings as visual metaphors of myself.

An interesting aspect of these works is that the view is altered depending on which canvas is placed first. I have designed the works so it is possible to remove the first panel and place it at the end, and so on, with each successive canvas, creating changing 360° view.
